Anthony "Twan" Chacon

 

About Me:

I began my career playing football, excelling at the sport in high school and earning my way to the Cal football program, playing for the Golden Bears until earning my BS in Nutrition with a minor in physical therapy in 1991 when I was recruited by the Atlanta Falcons.

 

After ending my football career, I dedicated myself to the fitness industry, where I have worked for the past 25 years.  In that time, I have developed and opened 30 health clubs, but I have always dedicated myself to learning and remaining open to new concepts from others in the field.  This has included various opportunities for specialized training including:    

  • 2001-2005 Nutritional advising and coaching for Olympic athletes including Louie Vito and others.

  • 2005-2010 Training off season and in season for Utah Jazz players including Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver, and  Paul Millsap with focus on agility and strength training

  • Nutrition and strength evaluations and advising for NFL athletes including Josh Savage, collegiate and NBA athletes, and European Basketball players such as Johnny Bryant and Ryan Toolson. 

  • After powerlifting for 6 years and competing for 5 years with a bench press of 635, I helped develop several athletes in bench, squat, deadlift and power cleans

 

I have worked with high school athletes to develop strength and speed, coordination and explosion to help them earn full ride scholarships to D1 schools.

 

Bodybuilding:

 

Within the bodybuilding world, I have trained various competitors in all categories. Just this year  competitors who have trained with me have brought home multiple top 5 and winning placements and 2 IFFB pro cards.  Using my degree in nutrition, my focus is on creating a balanced athlete who is educated about the sport.  I work with each athlete to customize a plan for them as they prepare for a show, and again to customize a plan for their post-show maintenance.  I am trained and certified to provide personal training, nutrition plans, show prep and after show nutrition guidance.    

 

 

 

My training philosophy is to educate and empower my clients to create healthy, strong, injury-free, competitive athletes .
